Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to
join our team, providing superior care in a supportive environment.
Our Nursing Assistants play a critical role in facilitating
positive patient outcomes by delivering direct care under the
supervision of our nursing staff. This position is ideal for
compassionate individuals passionate about making a significant
impact in the lives of patients recovering from various medical
conditions across our facilities and home-based settings throughout
42 states. Assist nursing staff in providing direct care to
patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and monitoring
vital signs. Record patient's condition by taking vital signs and
weight, and documenting intake and output information. Support
patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping
for food and other household requirements, and preparing and
serving meals and snacks. Help patients care for themselves by
teaching the use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat,
special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene. Aid nurses
and other staff as needed. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain
patient confidentiality. Physical stamina to perform job duties
over extended periods. Capability to work independently and as part
of a team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred. Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained
within 6 months of hire.
