Minimum Education Requirements: - Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. - Residency training program in family medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA). License & Certifications: - Board certification in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the AOA. - Active and unrestricted medical license in Maine. Experience: - While specific requirements may vary, most locum family practice physician positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience working in a primary care setting.
