Shift (19:00 – 07:00) | 12-Hour shifts Job Summary A critical
access hospital serving the Lincoln Lakes region, is seeking two
dedicated ER RNs for its night shift team. This role is ideal for a
versatile nurse who enjoys the unique environment of a smaller
facility where you are a vital part of the community’s emergency
response. You will manage patient care for all age groups, from
neonatal to geriatric, performing assessments, implementing care
plans, and participating in bedside rounding with hospitalists and
case managers. Key Responsibilities - Comprehensive Assessment:
Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments for
patients presenting with diverse emergency needs. - Plan of Care:
Develop and execute plans of care based on physician orders and
patient priorities, utilizing critical thinking to address acute
changes. - Medication Safety: Administer medications accurately
utilizing the "Five Rights" and med verification systems; evaluate
patient responses and manage drug information. - Patient Advocacy &
Education: Identify discharge needs and provide essential education
to patients and families to ensure a safe transition home. -
Emergency Management: Participate in disaster preparedness drills
and act as a frontline responder during real-life community
emergency events. - Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in
MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings and rounding to ensure a
cohesive approach to patient wellness. Requirements &
Qualifications - Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room
experience. - Education: BSN preferred. - Licensure: Active Maine
State RN License or a valid Multi-State Compact License required at
the time of submission. - Certifications: * BLS (Required) - ACLS
(Preferred) - Immunization Records (Mandatory): * Varicella (2
doses or titer) - HepB (3 doses or titer; declination accepted) -
MMR (2 doses or titer) - Tdap - PPD (2-step or titer within past 12
months) - Flu shot (during flu season) Physical Requirements The
role involves high physical activity, including: - Lifting up to 30
lbs. - Standing, walking, stooping, and crouching. - Pushing
patients in wheelchairs and stretchers. JOB ID:
