Job Description OB/GYN – Full-Scope Generalist OpportunityLocation: Greater New Haven, Connecticut AreaPosition Type: Permanent, Full-TimePosition Overview - Seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible OB/GYN - New residency graduates are welcome to apply - Reason for Opening: Physician retirement - Start Date: As soon as available Practice Setting - Join a private OB/GYN group with: - 8 OB/GYN Physicians - 5 Certified Nurse Midwives - Group has been providing quality care in the community for ~50 years - Affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital - Offices equipped with modern 3D ultrasound machines and skilled sonographers - Practice provides care at: - 1 hospital (Yale New Haven) - 5 office locations across Greater New Haven - Collaborative team environment embracing evidence-based midwifery-integrated care Clinical Responsibilities - Inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care - Perform GYN surgeries at the hospital and a state-of-the-art surgical center - Conduct exams (Pap smears, pelvic, breast, abdominal, etc.) - Prescribe and manage contraceptives and devices - Manage admissions, discharges, and comprehensive patient records - Use EPIC EMR Schedule & Call - Weekly rotation through all office locations - In-office Monday–Friday (when not on call or post-call) - Call schedule: - 24-hour calls with post-call day off - Group cross-covers with another practice — this team covers 50% of the calendar year calls - Multiple call schedule options: 1:6 or 1:8 - No late office hours - Half-day Thursdays or Fridays Licensure & Requirements - MD or DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible (OB/GYN) - Must obtain hospital privileges before starting Compensation & Benefits - Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) - 401(k) with matching - Health insurance - Malpractice insurance – No tail coverage needed - Generous vacation time - Free parking - Annual allowance for: - CME - Licensure - ACOG and ABOG membership fees Lifestyle & Location Highlights - Located in New Haven, Connecticut – population ~100,000 - South Shore Connecticut – with ferry access to Long Island - Home to Yale University - Enjoy museums, theaters, parks, beaches, restaurants, breweries, and outdoor recreation - Great options for both families and young professionals - Convenient access to NYC and Boston Interested? - Candidates are encouraged to submit a CV and cover letter - Know someone who might be a fit?
