Job Description:
Overview: Department: Oncology/Hematology Shift: Full-Time,
Night, 12-Hour Shifts The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct
patient care in the Oncology/Infusion Center, delivering
chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and oncology treatments to adult
patients with malignancies. The RN educates patients and families,
monitors treatment responses, and ensures safe, evidence-based
care. Responsibilities: - Administer chemotherapy and oncology
treatments safely. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient
care. - Educate patients and families on cancer treatments, side
effects, and supportive care. - Monitor patient responses and
manage adverse reactions. - Maintain accurate documentation in EHR
following oncology standards. - Collaborate with physicians,
advanced practice providers, and care teams. - Support Cancer
Registry Services with accurate treatment data. Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN
License. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain
current. 3. Oncology Nursing Certification preferred. 4. Bachelor
of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Central Maine Healthcare is
