Community Size: Houlton population 6,500; Hospital serves a broader area of about 17,000 Local Industries/Economy: Local Industries/Economy: Logging, Agriculture, Manufacturing Start Date: Upon licensing & credentialing Credentialing: 30-90 days Schedule: 7-10, 24-hour shifts/month Call: 24/7 call coverage, Daytime Hospitalist with overnight Tele-Noc Support Details: Critical Access Hospital ICU Beds: 0; Up to 4 Intermediate Care Beds located within Acute Care Unit Acute Beds: 25 with occasional medical overflow on the LDRP Unit Observation: Swing Beds: Intermingled with 19 Acute Care Unit beds Average Daily Census: 14 Max Census: 25 Average Daily Discharges: 2 Avg LOS: 4.02, 3.46 (excluding DWP), rolling average 4.93, 3.73 (excluding DWP) Swing Bed: 12 Avg. Weekly Admissions: About 24 admissions to Inpatients, Observations and Swing per week Acuity: CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, DKA Subspecialty Support: Tele-Nocturnist, Neurology (Outpt. clinic only), General Surgery, &Anesthesia Anesthesia is in house M-F from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with after hours and weekend call. General Surgery is available most weeks M-Th. Limited after-hours coverage. There is no weekend coverage for General Surgery. EMR: Cerner Community Works Experience Qualifications Minimum 1 years of experience practicing autonomously Vent Management Central Lines Intubations Active ME License or the ability to obtain Compensation & Benefits Independent Contractor (1099) Malpractice Insurance Covered by RPG Providers have a private office space as well as space with private bathroom and shower o Linens and housekeeping provided Providers are provided 3 full meals a day from the dietary department. wRVU model: - Base - $2,200/shift -Travel - $100/shift -Eligible for Prime wRVU Threshold –18 average over the quarter wRVU payment - $29.69 for any wRVUs generated (Average is 18 so you would be looking at around an additional $534.42 per shift)
