Job Description Company Description Claris EyeCare is a small, independently owned optometric office started in 2018 by Julie Zoellick, OD. We strive to maintain quality, personalized care. We hope we can offer a fulfilling work environment while also maintaing work-life balance to our staff. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Optician role located in Watertown, WI. The Optician will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses to suit their needs. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions , guiding patients in eyewear selection, measuring customers' eyes for fitting, and providing adjustments or repairs to eyeglasses. Additionally, being a small practice, willingness to assist in other areas of the clinic such as front desk and pre-testing is desired and appreciated. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in Optics and Optometry Skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to ensure positive patient interactions Understanding of Eye Exams and ability to interpret optical prescriptions accurately Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments Experience with optical tools and equipment is a valuable asset High school diploma or equivalent is required; optician certification or licensure is preferred
