Job Description Internal Medicine Physician Location: Woodstock, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Medical Director/Clinic Director Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our outpatient clinic team. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adult patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong patient communication abilities, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinic setting. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory disorders. Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle modification counseling. Provide preventive care, including screenings, immunizations, and health education. Coordinate patient care with specialists, diagnostic services, and other healthcare providers as needed. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, state regulations, and federal healthcare guidelines. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs. Mentor and collaborate with clinic staff, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical assistants. Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education, attending conferences, and staying current with medical literature. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school. Licensure & Certification: Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia. Board Certification in Internal Medicine. DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration. Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred Experience in outpatient clinic settings is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies: Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Knowledge of EMR systems and medical documentation practices. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement. Working Conditions: Outpatient clinic environment with standard clinic hours. Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required depending on clinic schedule. Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and prioritization skills.
