An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in Operating Room care to support a healthcare facility in Waldoboro, ME. Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms and nursing equipment for surgical procedures Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols Respond promptly to emergency situations within the OR Participate in call rotations, including one weeknight call shift (1630-0700) and one weekend call every six weeks (48 hours) Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical procedures Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the state of Maine Experience in Operating Room nursing preferred Ability to work four 9-hour day shifts (0700-1630) per week, totaling 36 hours Flexibility to participate in call rotations as scheduled Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday (0700-1630) Rotating day off Call shifts required (one weeknight call and one weekend call approximately every six weeks) Additional Information: OR scrubs are provided for staff convenience Immediate start to fill a permanent staff vacancy following resignation This contract position offers a stable schedule and a supportive work environment.
