be considered. A specialized opportunity exists for an experienced
Registered Nurse (RN) skilled in Operating Room nursing, focusing
on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at a Level One Trauma
Center in South Portland, ME. This contract position offers a
rewarding setting within a high-acuity environment where your
expertise will significantly impact patient outcomes across a broad
age spectrumfrom pediatrics to geriatrics. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for complex surgeries
including Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral
Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis,
Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies. Work within a multidisciplinary
team to support trauma and specialty surgeries while maintaining a
patient ratio of 1:1. Participate in trauma call schedules,
providing critical care during overnight hours as necessary.
Utilize advanced equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and
Intuitive Robot in line with best practices. Accurately document
patient care activities in Epic EMR to ensure continuity and
quality of care. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum of 3
years Level 1 trauma operating room nursing experience. Competency
in robotic-assisted surgeries and a comprehensive understanding of
GU/GYN procedures. CNOR certification preferred. Proven ability to
function efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress surgical
environment. Strong teamwork, accountability, and punctuality.
Schedule & Hours: Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend
coverage on a 1:4 rotation with 12-hour shifts. 36 guaranteed hours
per week plus one overnight trauma call shift (11:00 PM7:00 AM).
