cardiac, neuro, trauma and progressive care experience. /n Join a
dynamic healthcare team as a Travel RN in the Cardiac Stepdown /
Intermediate Care Unit at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, Maine
(04401). This on-site travel nursing contract provides hands-on
experience with high-acuity cardiac, neuro, trauma, and
medical/surgical patients while offering a competitive weekly rate

- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown /
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry Nurse/n - Location: Bangor,
ME 04401 — Bangor nursing jobs, Maine travel nurse opportunity/n -
Facility: Level II Trauma Center, 411 beds/n - Unit: Intermediate
Care Unit / Cardiac Stepdown (12 beds)/n - Start Date: April 14,
2026/n - End Date: July 11, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks (travel
contract)/n - Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — night
shift RN / overnight telemetry/n - Hours per Week: 36
(guaranteed)/n - Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend/n -
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2040 – $2150/n - Employment Type: Travel
Contract (On-Site)/n - Scrub Color: Any, must be professional/n -

Qualifications/n /n - Experience: Minimum 1 year of
Intermediate/PCU/Stepdown level of care experience required; if
only Med/Surg experience with some PCU exposure, 2 years required/n
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers must have completed at
least two (2) prior 13-week assignments/n - Licensure: Active RN
license (state of practice)/n - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
required; AACN and/or CCRN preferred/n - Clinical Skills: Cardiac
telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trauma
experience, stroke care, Q2H neuro checks, cardiac drips
(Amiodarone, Cardizem), titratable insulin infusions, high-flow O2,
chest tubes, wound vacs, BiPAP, trach care and suctioning, IV
starts, drain/ostomy care, temporary pacemakers, TR bands, post
femoral sheath care/n - Charting / EHR: Cerner experience highly
preferred (electronic health record, documentation accuracy)/n -
Leadership: Indicate any prior charge nurse or shift-lead
experience/n - Role Type Keywords: Cardiac RN, Telemetry RN,

/n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing
care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients (STEMI,
NSTEMI, CHF, Afib with RVR, post-cardiac cath, post-ablation,
post-TAVR)/n - Provide care for neuro/trauma and high-acuity
medical-surgical patients (stroke, stable craniotomies, CIWA,
seizures, sepsis, respiratory illnesses)/n - Perform continuous
cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring; recognize
and escalate clinical deterioration promptly/n - Manage and titrate
ordered infusions and protocols (cardiac drips, titratable insulin)
and document per unit standards/n - Conduct focused assessments,
frequent neuro checks, and thorough respiratory assessments/n -
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (RT, hospitalists,
phlebotomy, resource nurse, PT/OT, IV/VAT team) to ensure timely
interventions/n - Maintain accurate medication administration and
documentation in the EHR (Cerner) following unit policies and
safety protocols/n - Float to ED, ICU, or CCU as needed for
