Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years NICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care in a Level III NICU setting, supporting critically ill newborns including micro preemies from 24 weeks gestation and up to 44 weeks. This role requires expertise in managing high-acuity infants, including those on respiratory support and post-surgical care, ensuring growth and feeding progression in a dynamic clinical environment. Location: Plainfield, Illinois Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience in a Level III setting Skilled in caring for micro preemies (24 weeks and up), including high-acuity cases Experience with grower feeder protocols and managing respiratory support and surgical patients Licensure and Certification: Current Illinois RN license CPR certification NRP certification Epic charting experience preferred Schedule/Hours: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) Every other weekend commitment required Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU Monitor and manage respiratory and surgical support needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic charting system Potential to float to nearby campus based on census demands This position is a contract role with a start date within two weeks, offering the opportunity to work in a respected healthcare environment focusing on complex neonatal care.
