Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Bangor, ME Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,344 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/28/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Respiratory Therapist License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required for adult-only RT Must-Have: Experience with critical care, including airway and ventilator management Familiarity with ABG puncture and analysis Experience with non-invasive ventilation Code blue and rapid response experience Description: ASAP start needed. Pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory. The position involves working with a very critical care-focused and protocol-driven team. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, Cystic Fibrosis, ARDS, MVA trauma/surgery, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID-19, and RSV. All therapists must have their RRT; no CRTs or Respiratory Technicians will be accepted. Adult-only RT will require BLS and ACLS certifications. For NICU/PICU/Peds RT, BLS and NRP are required, and PALS is preferred. Previous NICU/PICU experience required if the position is posted for those areas. Experience with Oscillator 3100, Sensormatic, and Drager ventilators is beneficial. Travelers must be comfortable working with adults, even if the position is posted for pediatric areas. Support within the department includes a lead/charge, manager, assistant manager, RT educator, and medical director. The charting system used is Cerner. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Voluntary call is required only two hours before shift start time and two hours after. Holiday expectations apply as assigned unless previously requested time off is in the contract.
