X-Ray Tech Location: Berlin, NH Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $29 to $37 per hour Shift Information: Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Permanent (Full Time) Currently offering a $7,500 Sign-on Bonus Pay Rate: $29.32 - $36.65/hourly. Summary: The Radiologic Technologist operates under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology, operates a Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities. Responsibilities: Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures. Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders. Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions. Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility. Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed. Requirements Requirements: Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology and be registered in at least radiography. Required. Additional certification in computed tomography. Highly Preferred. Training and/or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities. Required. Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors, willingness to work in a team-oriented environment, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills.
