Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care in a stepdown unit under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader. This role requires adherence to State of Maine Board of Nursing standards and hospital policies to ensure quality patient outcomes. The RN will coordinate patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patients transitioning from intensive care. Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care in a stepdown setting, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient condition Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Supervise and coordinate care during assigned shifts Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to hospital protocols Ensure compliance with safety and infection control practices Qualifications/Desired Experience: Current Maine RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (ACLS required within 30 days of hire) Telemetry experience preferred Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred MOAB or CPI certification preferred but not mandatory Strong communication and multitasking abilities Ability to work flexible hours and function well within a team Location: Bangor, ME Bangor is a vibrant city in northern Maine, known for its rich history and natural beauty.
