Job Description:
The Bridge Family Center is currently searching for a full time
Program Supervisor to oversee the behavioral management of DCF
involved youth and provides guidance and support to staff in its
Wolcott STTAR home serving adolescent males. The Supervisor will
work with Youth Workers to create and maintain a healthy,
therapeutic, safe, and trauma-informed culture by enforcing program
expectations. This position will involve effective use of the
Bridge’s residential behavior management strategy. The Program
Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that all program
policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. The Bridge

be Tuesday - Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Primary Responsibilities
1. Ensure that the shift is complaint with program requirements and
expectations. 2. Review and supervision of daily activity
schedules, maintaining routine of residents, and supervision of
chores and other tasks, and daily living skills, as needed. 3. In
conjunction with the Program Manager, provide supervision of the
Youth Workers on shift and directs their interactions with
residents as necessary. This may include providing corrective
actions for staff. 4. Teaches and trains direct care staff through
role modeling to effectively provide therapeutic interactions. 5.
Act as the point person for crisis management, as necessary, while
on shift. Serve as the liaison between on-call manager, Program RN,
EMS, DCF, and law enforcement. 6. Oversee the maintenance of
resident’s files relative to incident reports, daily shift
documentation, resident appointments, and any other required
information. 7. Engage residents in positive peer interaction, and
monitor interactions between staff and residents. 8. Work in
collaboration with Program Manager and Clinical Coordinator to
review each resident and assist in carrying out treatment plan
objectives. 9. Effectively carry-out the behavioral management
strategy with the program residents. 10. Assist with intakes and
the discharge of participants into the STTAR Home, as needed. 11.
Transportation of clients, as required. 12. Other duties as
assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or
related field strongly preferred, and at least two years’
experience working with at-risk adolescents, particularly with
significant emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric needs.
Experience working with adolescents in a residential setting
strongly preferred. Must have ability to set professional
boundaries and limits as well as develop positive rapport with
residents. Must also possess excellent communication and
interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with
co-workers and internalize supervision. Must also have a valid
Connecticut driver’s license, with a clean driving record, and the
ability to transport clients. Must also possess the following
certifications, or be eligible to obtain these after hire:
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Adult First Aid/CPR, and DCF
Medication Administration. The employee must also be able to
conduct a physical intervention (training in TCI Certification
required) when a resident is in crisis. Cultural sensitivity and
competency required. Bilingual skills a plus. Note: This job
