Diagnostic Imaging Schedule: Full-Time, Nights, 8 hour shifts /n
Hospital: Central Maine Medical Center /n Location: Lewiston, ME /n
/n We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist (Computed Tomography
Technologist) to join our Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging team. The
CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans,
producing high-quality medical images, and ensuring patient safety,
radiation protection, and clinical accuracy. /n Working closely
with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare
professionals, the CT Technologist supports diagnostic imaging
procedures, assists with patient care, and ensures timely image
processing and transmission to PACS (Picture Archiving and
Communication System) for physician interpretation.
Responsibilities: /n - Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging
procedures according to physician orders and radiology protocols /n
- Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images while maintaining
radiation safety standards /n - Prepare and position patients for
CT scans, verifying patient identity and explaining procedures /n -
Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to ensure optimal image
quality and safety /n - Assist Radiologists and physicians during
diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures /n - Process and
transmit CT images to PACS for interpretation and storage /n -
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to patient care
needs /n - Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging
records /n - Follow infection control, radiation safety, and
hospital compliance standards /n Qualifications: EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING /n /n 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology
experience is preferred. /n 2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary
Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required. /n 3. Extensive
knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required. /n 4.
Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
/n 5. ARRT-CT Certification is required /n 6. Must possess and
maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. /n 7. Proficient computer skills. /n
