Job Description:

Chez Rosa is hiring a professional Sous Chef for our upcoming 2022-2023 season. We are a small chef owned French Bistro in which we all work together and are treated like family. We truly value our staff as they are vital for the success of Chez Rosa! We prepare all of our season menu items from scratch including our charcuterie.

Sous Chef duties will consist of but not limited to the following:

-Supporting the Chef in leading the kitchen team in food preparation and service

-Assist the kitchen team for service and events while ensuring the exceptional quality of all ingredients, preparation, and plating of food items

-Support the Chef in training and developing the team in their culinary skills

-Ensure the sanitation standards, cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment are always met

The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. They will lead by setting the example and respecting fellow team members both kitchen and dining room, there is no room for bullying, harassment or mistreatment of anyone for any reason. The candidate should show commitment, passion, attention to detail and positive demeanor. The Sous Chef will be a creative force in the restaurant assisting with seasonal menu changes, holiday menus, private party menus and special dinners.

The salary and benefits package is as follows:

Annual Salary of 48K, which includes our closure for the month of March (one month off paid!), Sick/Personal Days, 401K with Matching, Opportunity for Biannual Bonuses based upon food/labor cost goals. Daily Family Meal and Complimentary meals when dining at the restaurant. Closed Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. Growth Opportunities.
