Job Description LD Safety Marking recognizes the importance of the employee brand within any organization, and creating a culture that employees want to be involved with. Moving into the experience age, we find ourselves in need of an experienced HR Generalist to assist us with continuing to develop our new culture. LD Safety Marking is the leader in quality pavement markings throughout New England and beyond. The ideal candidate will be willing to work alongside management to develop and create not only a streamlined onboarding process but also assist with developing a training website and videos, career web page and re-writing and managing job postings and working alongside our web developer to do so. Qualifications: -- Associates degree in Human Resources or related field. -- 2 years related HR experience -- Knowledge and understanding of Federal and State labor laws and regulations. Understanding of FMCSA rules and regulations also helpful, but not required -- Ability to keep information confidential and maintain professionalism in all situations -- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint -- Understanding of different HRIS and Onboarding software -- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. -- Excellent time management skills Responsibilities include: -- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, disability insurance, COBRA, PTO and vacation. -- Assist with creation and implementation of employee benefit education plan and assist employees with benefit related questions. -- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment as needed. -- Assist management in regard to employee performance management as it relates to discipline, FMCSA regulation adherence, DOT physical and pre-employ drug screen management and documentation -- Ensure follow-through on decided upon direction and appropriate documentation for personnel files. -- Set up and maintain personnel and employee related files; archive as needed. -- Initiate and maintain records for internal employee changes (address, compensation, status, department, job, etc.); coordinate with payroll as needed. -- Facilitate employee termination process; perform employee exit interviews and relay pertinent information to appropriate personnel. -- Setting up the design and implementation of internal training ( Professional Pavement Marking University ) for supervisors and other personnel. -- Develop and recommend HRIS software, implement and maintain software used to streamline the onboarding process. Provide HRIS Software training for employees and managers. -- Shared responsibility for driving corporate compliance with personnel ---HR--- law; consistent with policies and culture of the organization. -- Research options and mandates to enable proper implementation of personnel procedures. -- Update affirmative action plan yearly in compliance with Federal and State standards. -- EEO/AA officer -- Assist Safety Officer with orientation and onboarding -- Assist with safety checks on crews on the road to ensure compliance of safety standards and regulations -- Perform other duties as necessary LD Safety Marking Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
