between union and non-union employee groups.Position Purpose:We are
seeking an energetic, organized, self-starter to facilitate the
planning, tracking, testing, and deployment of small to medium IT
projects. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience
working on IT projects, or related experience. The ability to
effectively communicate with stakeholders from various levels of
the organization, from end users to executives, is a must-have.The
day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:* Taking ownership
for the successful outcome of IT projects.* Creating a positive and
professional atmosphere for project teams to excel.* Proactively
scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes
to capture discussion points, action items, and decisions.* Develop
and maintain scope, schedules and budgets for personnel, vendors,
and other resources as required to ensure the completion of
multiple technology projects.* Facilitate and articulate project
goals, priorities and expectations. * Plan and organize the work of
cross functional team members to complete work according to plan. *
Track progress of all IT related projects and report to management
and stakeholders.Principal Accountabilities: 15% Business Process
Analysis: Facilitate cross-functional discussions to perform
business process analysis, including:* Meet with end-users and
business owners to elicit, analyze, and understand current business
processes.* Identify gaps, needs and document requirements.*
Participate in solution discovery process with vendors and IT
staff.* Develop training material as needed and perform end-user
system training.20% Stakeholder Management: Responsible for
managing stakeholder communications and planning for IT projects,
including:* Creating positive relationships with stakeholders
through the appropriate communication of expectations and
understanding of needs.* Acting as a liaison between individuals
and groups within and outside the organization. * Providing
frequent, clear and effective communications to all
stakeholders.10% Financial Performance, Controls and Results:
Responsible for gathering financial results and reporting project
metrics such as:* Designing, monitoring, and "owning" control
activities. * Identify, qualify, and respond to risks and issues by
facilitating risk assessments with project team, stakeholders and
IT management staff. * Monitor and report on project expenditures.
* Review and track schedules, expenditures and progress relative to
budget and plan.* Communicate project variances, identify outliers,
and raise flags in a timely manner.* Recommend process improvements
to streamline progress and improve quality outputs.50%
Project/Schedule Management: Collaborate with project team to
develop and maintain scope, schedules and budgets for personnel and
other resources as required to ensure timely and effective
completion of technology projects, including: * Proactively
facilitate and develop goals, objectives and detailed schedules to
complete the project activities. * Proactively coordinate the
activities for the project while monitoring performance vs. plan.*
Participate in project proposals and charters.* Write up reports
for management to communicate project updates on a consistent
basis.* Identify and communicate critical path items and
milestones.* Ensure the timely completion of all necessary project
artifacts such as: records, paperwork, and documentation needed for
accounting, regulatory, management, and related purposes. 5% Other
duties as requiredQualifications:-- Bachelor of Science degree in
Computer Information Systems or an equivalent education
background.-- Ability to instill sense of urgency and motivate
project team and stakeholders to meet project objectives and
deadlines.-- PMP Certification preferred, or must be willing to
become PMP certified within 2-3 years of hire. -- 2-5 years'
experience working in IT, working on projects, or related
experience.-- Must be willing to work onsite a minimum of 1-2 days
per week, or as needed.-- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile and/or
Hybrid methodologies.-- Demonstrated ability to organize,
coordinate, and facilitate project teams.-- Experience with
Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint preferred. -- Strong
analytical and technical aptitude.-- Excellent written and verbal
