Job Description:
Fidelity Investments seeks a seasoned Principal Data Engineer to
join our innovative IT & Data Management team. This pivotal role is
geared towards an individual passionate about shaping the future of
data-driven decision-making in financial services. As a global
leader in asset management, Fidelity Investments offers a dynamic

management are at the forefront of our operations. The Principal
Data Engineer will design, build and manage our expansive data
architecture, ensuring robustness and scalability while driving
business intelligence that supports strategic objectives. Design,
construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data
management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and
industry practices. Integrate up-and-coming data management and
software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
Develop set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability. Collaborate
with data scientists and other stakeholders to implement effective
data solutions. Lead cross-functional teams through end-to-end
development life cycles. Review and provide input on data usage and
management strategies. Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases,
data warehousing solutions. Proficiency in cloud services like AWS,
Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience with big data tools
(Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.). Advanced knowledge of programming
languages (Python, Java, Scala). Ability to work with structured
and unstructured data. Strong analytical skills with the ability to
collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of
information with attention to detail and accuracy. Medical
