Who We’re Looking For Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Technology Manager to lead and optimize their full infrastructure ecosystem, from AWS cloud governance and cost management to job site connectivity and end-user technology, across a fast-growing national EPC organization. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can strengthen security, scalability, and operational reliability while directly supporting both corporate offices and remote construction sites. Primary Responsibilities Cloud & Data Center Own AWS architecture, governance, cost optimization, and security; manage on-prem infrastructure, HA/DR, and capacity planning. Network & Connectivity Lead SDWAN/CloudWAN and network infrastructure; ensure reliable job site connectivity; manage firewalls, VPNs, and performance optimization. End-User Technology Define device strategy and lifecycle management; deliver seamless office/field experience; oversee endpoint security. Job Site Technology Standardize site deployments; support field connectivity and systems access; resolve critical site issues while balancing cost and capability. Security Operations Operationalize security tooling; enforce infrastructure security controls; coordinate incident response and compliance efforts. Skills and Qualifications 10 years in infrastructure/operations with progressive responsibility Breadth across infrastructure domains - You've managed cloud, network, servers, storage, and end-user compute at different points in your career AWS at scale - Multi-account governance, FinOps, security (Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent experience) Networking depth - SDWAN, routing/switching, firewalls, VPN (CCNP or equivalent experience) Remote/branch office expertise - Supporting users in challenging environments with limited connectivity Vendor management - Negotiated enterprise agreements, managed MSPs, evaluated solutions objectively Budget management - Built and managed $1M infrastructure budgets Team leadership - Led technical teams, mentored engineers, built culture of operational excellence Construction/field operations experience strongly preferred - Understand job site realities, construction workflows, field user needs Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, energy, utilities, or field-service industries VMware, Hyper-V, or modern virtualization platforms Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) ITSM tooling (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) M365 administration and optimization ITIL or similar operational framework certification Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty) Project management for large infrastructure initiatives Where We’re Looking For It Glastonbury, Connecticut Hybrid Other Information Travel Requirements Quarterly job site visits (2-3 sites per quarter) to understand field needs and build relationships Annual AWS re:Invent or similar conference for professional development Occasional vendor meetings or partner facility tours Estimate 15-20% travel, concentrated in certain months
