Our client, a well-established law firm serving Connecticut for over 60 years, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Trust and Estate Paralegal to join its team at in Vernon, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in trust and estate administration and a strong foundation in finance or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate administration
General administration and bookkeeping of estates and trusts
Gather, identify, and value assets
Manage retitling of assets and related administrative tasks
Prepare probate documents and financial accountings
Prepare estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns
Communicate with clients, court clerks, brokerage personnel, and accountants

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate administration or a related field
Strong background in finance, taxation, bookkeeping, or accounting
Excellent organizational, mathematical, and computer skills
Experience with scheduling, timekeeping, and billing software
Detail-oriented with the ability to work directly and professionally with clients
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Stable employment history
