Job Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated CDL Route Driver-Local to join our team, operating within our Environmental Services sector. As a CDL Route Driver, your fundamental duty is to ensure safe and efficient transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste while complying with company policies and government regulations. This position plays a critical role in our mission to protect the environment by facilitating the effective and safe disposal of waste materials. Operate Class A or B commercial vehicles in accordance with company safety protocols and regulations. Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste from various customer locations to disposal facilities ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles ensuring operational safety. Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books and documentation required for compliance with federal and state regulations. Coordinate with dispatch and operations departments for efficient route planning and waste pickup schedules. Educate customers on safe waste handling practices and the benefits of our environmental services. Proficiency in driving Class A or B commercial vehicles In-depth knowledge of DOT and hazardous waste regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong orientation toward safety and compliance Ability to handle and operate relevant equipment and tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A or B with hazardous materials endorsement Clean driving record
