Job Description:

PAM Transport, a prominent leader in the North American transportation and logistics industry, seeks a dedicated CDLA Over the Road (OTR) Driver. This position involves long-distance delivery responsibilities, ensuring timely movement of freight and cargo across various destinations. Candidates are expected to uphold the highest standards of operational safety and reliability, crucial to maintaining PAM Transport's reputation. This role requires adaptability, commitment to safety, and the ability to handle different driving and weather conditions efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy haul trucking, strong navigational skills, and the capability to manage extended hours on the road. Operate a tractor-trailer or heavy truck to move goods over long distances. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure functionality and safety. Adhere to predetermined routes and schedules unless otherwise directed under special circumstances. Manage routes and logistics to maximize fuel efficiency and delivery speed. Maintain detailed logs of hours of service and distance travelled, in compliance with federal regulations and company policies. Follow all applicable traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record. Communicate regularly with the dispatcher to report any issues or delays. Ensure the security of cargo, and handle the necessary paperwork for cargo and deliveries. Proficiency in driving heavy and large vehicles Strong navigating skills and familiarity with GPS devices and route management software Excellent organizational skills for log-keeping and time management Physical ability to manage long hours driving Ability to work independently Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A Completion of a qualified truck driving school program preferred Current medical examination card
