Job Description:
Farm Field Coordinator for Connecticut Valley Orchards, LLC to
work at our Deep River, CT loc. Operate heavy farm machinery
(moldboard plows, disc harrows, tractors, transplanters, orchard
sprayers). Monitor fruit and veg crop production under direction of
farm owner. Day-to-day coordination of workers and tasks,
understanding weather, ground conditions, and plant lifecycles.
Follow DEP spraying regs via e-records. Spread plastic mulch at
beginning and retrieve at end of season. Plant, cultivate and prune
fruit trees. Review pesticides, insecticides, and other compounds
to spray on trees/crops. Cover greenhouse annually. ID and
implement methods of planting and training trees. Must have 2 yrs
experience in crop planting, cultivation, and harvesting including
operation of moldboard plows, disc harrows, tractors,
transplanters, and orchard sprayers. If interested email Winston
