This Assistant Director position in the Center for Professional Development (CPD) will help facilitate the full implementation of a new comprehensive, multi-faceted career technology platform. Supports employer relations efforts by performing outreach and marketing and assisting with workshops and events. Develops and updates career-related educational resources and provides coaching to undergraduate students. This is a full-time, position with flexibility for a 9 to 12-month contractual term.

Description Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Masters plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Two years of professional experience in career education, business and/or similar employment
  • Master's degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in project management involving new technology
  • Strong coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Familiarity with employment and hiring trends
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and proven effectiveness in serving the needs of a diverse undergraduate student population.
  • Strong time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated team player who takes initiative
  • Familiarity with career-specific technologies
  • Commitment to working some evenings and weekends

Works independently and collaborates with colleagues to help implement and transition to the new technology platform. Project work includes facilitating/documenting changes to CPD operations/processes, communications, updating website content, and reporting. (40%)
