Job Description:
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Clinical Leader
assures that the standards of nursing practice and the standards of
performance are achieved. The Clinical Leader manages the
day-to-day operations of the department through clinical and
supervisory activities, supports shared governance, empowers staff
to accomplish departmental goals and shares accountability for
clinical outcomes. The Clinical Leader utilizes knowledge of growth
and development over the life span and demonstrates skill in
application of this knowledge to the nursing care process. # Must
be a graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing. Baccalaureate
degree preferred. Three to five years experience in nursing
required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Current New
Hampshire RN license. BLS required. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills required. Ability to handle confidential
material with maturity, sensitivity and discretion. Ability to
adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively. Ability to
function as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Must be able to
handle fluctuating workloads in a multifocused work setting.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills. Demonstrates ability to
delegate appropriately. Understands and utilizes principles of
superior customer service. Data analysis and interpretation skills
required. Effective team building and problem-solving skills
required.
