Full-Time Supported Employment Opportunity

Agency is seeking a fully engaged person who can craft
attention-grabbing resumes, coach individuals in preparation for an
interview, teach and reinforce the basic skills of getting and
keeping a job, and much more.
The Employment Specialist works closely with the Coordinator of
Vocational Services to assist our clients in obtaining and
maintaining competitive employment that helps to meet their
vocational goals. The individual develops plans and interventions
in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and the individual
in the area of employment/career services. This community-based
position networks with community businesses to educate and involve
them in this program resulting in the creation of employment
Basic Position Requirements:
- Assist clients in identifying vocational goals and obtaining
information about their benefits.
- Provide individualized follow-along supports, job development
services and other services as identified as part of the Supported
- Maintain all documentation required in a timely manner and
follow all related Agency and state policies and guidelines
- Participate in team and staff meetings. Communicate
individually with treatment team members in order to integrate
vocational services with mental health treatment.
- Assist team members in thinking about employment for clients
who have not been referred for supported employment services.
General Position Requirements:
- 4 year college degree or equivalent in education and
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft
- Valid state driver's license; reliable transportation, and
personal automobile insurance
