MWR Academy Officer's Club DUTIES: Maintains a specified area
orderly and clean; Vacuum cleans rugs and draperies; Sweeps, mops,
strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial-type
power equipment; Adjust and changes buffers, brushes and other
attachments on power equipment; Dusts, waxes and polishes office
furniture; dusts ledges and woodwork; empties ashtrays and
wastebaskets; Polishes doorknobs and other metal fixtures; cleans
glass partitions, inside and outside windows, using stepladders and
extension ladders; Maintains restrooms in clean, orderly and
sanitary condition; Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories,
sinks and toilet bowls; cleans mirrors and water fountains;
Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels and soap; Report
water leaks, clogged drains and other conditions requiring
maintenance to supervisor; Maintains supply of cleaning materials
and advises supervisor when more supplies are needed, or when
equipment needs repair or replacement; Performs seasonal tasks as
required, such as applying ice control material to entrance of
buildings, mowing grass, and watering lawns around assigned
buildings; performs other related duties as assigned. Usually works
indoors and occasionally outdoors; in contact with strong cleaning
agents; danger of falls on slippery surfaces or when working on

application is evaluated. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Minimum:
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the proper uses of a variety of
special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and how to remove
different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces.
- Must be able to clean and make adjustments to power cleaning
equipment and occasionally lift 50 pounds or more. OTHER ESSENTIAL
INFORMATION:
- Selectee will be required to participate in Direct
Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment
for payroll and travel purposes.
- Males born after 12/31/59 and at least 18 years of age must be
registered with the Selective Service System, unless covered by an
exemption under the Selective Service Law, in accordance with 5
U.S. Code 3378. Selectee will be required to provide a written
statement regarding his registration status unless he is exempted
by this statute.
- Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check US
