Job DescriptionFull-time: $1500 Bonus (bonus paid after successful completion of 60-day introductory period) We are actively hiring DSPs for multiple locations and schedules including:

• Westbrook, Gorham, Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford and KennebunkIf you would enjoy supporting and mentoring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage and connect to their own communities, and would enjoy teaching them skills to live a more independent life, you are a great candidate for this DSP caregiver position!
  • DSPs support adult consumers with community inclusion, building natural relationships, daily living skills including budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping, grocery shopping, decision-making, transportation, and personal support.If you're a compassionate individual who wants to impact the lives of adults with special needs, then a position as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Woodfords could be waiting for you!

    • DSP and CRMA certification not required prior to hire. Schedule:
      • This position is full-time (36 to 40 hours weekly)Pay: $15.00 to $17.00 hourly
        • DSP without CRMA $15.00/hour
        • DSP with CRMA $16.00/hour

            • High School Diploma or GED required
            • Valid driver's license
            • Use of reliable vehicle with current insurance
            • Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification, or willingness to complete certification, required
            • Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) credential, or willingness to complete it, required
            • Must be comfortable providing personal care to adult consumers with special needs
            • Good physical strength; able to bend, lift and stand
            • This position is considered a Health Care Provider position by the State of Maine. Health Care Providers are required by the State of Maine to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, or evidence of vaccination in-process required for hire.Responsibilities:
              • Oversee consumers' emotional, physical and cognitive well-being.
              • Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for the consumers.
              • Assist in developing plans (meal planning/activity planning) and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum to progress towards desired goals and community inclusion.
              • Must be able understand and effectively implement the behavior plan for the consumer.
              • Assist the consumers in building personal relationships with people outside the program and family.
              • Ensure proper medical attention through both wellness activities as well as appropriate contact with medical services during periods of illness/acute injury.
