Banquet Server - On Call

Job Description:

*Summary*
Servers are responsible for set-up of event space and service areas of kitchen, delivering food, beverage, and all other requests by guests.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
Provides courteous, professional service to guests and responds promptly to their questions, requests and complaints.

Greets guest, Pre-sets any necessary utensils prior to delivery of food items.
Follows steps of service.
Knows menu thoroughly and is knowledgeable about ingredients.
Can handle guest requests due to allergy; follows departmental procedure.

Has a basic knowledge of entire wine menu and bottled wines. Can offer recommendations.

Follows state and company alcohol regulations and policies.
Delivers Food and beverage items to guests by standard.

Assists with greeting guests.

Completes all side work duties.

Adheres to all department and company standards.

*Education And/Or Experience*
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in food & beverage service, preferably in a catering environment.
*Language Skills*
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and procedure manuals. Must he able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow associates.
*Physical Demands*
While performing duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects or tools. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision and sensory acuteness abilities required by this job include close and color vision and a sense of depth.
*Work Environment*
Environment is fast paced with a high volume, may be subject to changes in temperature from hot to cold to extreme weather conditions.
*AVAILABILITY: *
Must be able to work a diversified schedule that may include last minute scheduling. Shift hours will differ in length of time.
