Job Description:
Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an Accounts
Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing
company culture among highly skilled professionals. The candidate
in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting
Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general
administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. Matching and
batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports,
updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks
will be the main focus points in this role. Located in South
Portland, Maine, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term
contract / temporary opening.What you get to do every day-
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other
documents- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance
Department- Provide customer service to internal business partners-
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special
handling- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on
time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Provide support
during internal and external auditsRequirements- Strong
communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills,
especially with both technical and financial backgrounds- Knowledge
of Accounts Payable (AP)- QuickBooks experience highly desired-
Invoice experience- Great attention to detail- AA or BS/BA degree
in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Proficient with
spreadsheets and databases
