Position Type: Full-Time (Temporary role supporting the ALDI
Divisional Office with Purchasing Assistant responsibilities)
Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour
Work Location: South Windsor, CT
This role is eligible to participate in ALDIs Hybrid Work Program,
which allows remote work up to 2 days per week(i.e., work remotely
up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable
accommodation.
Prepares, processes and maintains accuracy of journal entries,
reviews automatic postings and clears open item managed accounts
within the general ledger system.
Processes sales tax, use tax, and other statutory payments to
comply with any federal, state, and local tax reporting
requirements.
Maintains accuracy and integrity of the company fixed asset
database.
Collaborates with division personnel as required to execute timely
physical inventory, transfers and disposals in accordance with
company guidelines.
Maintains expertise in computer applications within designated area
of responsibility.
Works proactively to identify, investigate, and report
irregularities within designated area of responsibility.
Conducts training and cross training of knowledge and expertise
within area of responsibility.
Serves as a backup assistant, as designated by divisional
management, to ensure proper coverage of necessary
responsibilities.
Communicates with internal and external contacts such as National
Services contacts, auditors, and banking institutions.
Maintains an efficient and well-organized filing system for the
department and ensures items are archived and disposed of per
company guidelines.
Provides any general office and administrative support deemed
necessary by divisional management.
Performs all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and in
accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of employee and company
sensitive data.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma / GED required.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent
knowledge.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Associates Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office work environment where a computer,
telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform
duties.
Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one
area to another.
Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25
lbs.
Travel:
