Job Description:
Location: Lewiston, MainePosition: Full TimeMaine Immigrant and
Refugee Services (MEIRS) is -looking for a dynamic, creative,
adaptable, articulate and highly motivated professional with
experience working with children. The RCS Section 28 Supervisor is
responsible for daily supervision of all Behavioral Health
Professionals (BHPs) and for ensuring that all new RCS Section 28
clients receive a thorough, timely and appropriate comprehensive
assessment to base service provision on. The RCS Section 28
supervisor is responsible for reporting agency capacity to service
clients with KEPRO, ensuring timely completion of client intake,
drafting client treatment plans, matching BHP staff to clients and
family, supervising service implementation and facilitating family
team meetings/coordination with outside agency providers as
necessary, weekly supervision of BHP staff, and required RCS28
documentation. -RCS Section 28 Supervisor Job Description
A supervisor must complete a
comprehensive assessment within thirty (30) days of initiation of
services. -Develop Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) within
thirty (30) days of initiation of services. The ITP is based on the
comprehensive assessment and is appropriate to the developmental
level of the member.Crisis/Safety Plan, as applicable. The plan
must: Identify the potential triggers which may result in a
crisisProvides direct services to clients, minimum of 10 direct
service hours per week, not to exceed 20.Provide weekly individual
and/or group supervision to BHPsReview the RCS28 treatment plan
every ninety (90) days with parents or guardians.Conducts home
visits and case consultations as needed.Provide on-call crisis
intervention coverage based upon the needs of the clients. This may
include coverage during normal working hours, evenings, holidays,
and weekends.Serve as a resource to BHP staff in areas of
behavioral/mental health professionalism, behavioral intervention,
self care, etc. Attend and actively participate in in-service
training sessions, related training opportunities as made
available, staff meetings, and agency committees.Maintain the
expected level of productivity.Manage and track MEIRS client
referrals. Works with supervisor and/or administrative staff to
assign referrals.Work with supervisor and/or Human Resources to
develop and implement a Professional Development Plan.Perform other
assigned tasks by the supervisor. - -Education/Experience
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required and
Master's Degree preferred.Minimum Two (2) years BHP or similar
field, required.Two years' experience in supervising staff,
preferred.Experience with both children and adults is
preferred.Have a knowledge base of an Electronic Medical Records
(EMR) system, preferred -Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of RCS28 state and BHP
requirements.Thorough knowledge of current versions of DSM and
ICD.CPR and First Aid certification as requiredMust have knowledge
of computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must have problem solving skills.Must
have written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to
deal with internal and external clients, providers and -staffMust
be Organized, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlinesMust be
