Job Description:
Looking for an experienced tech for client-facing helpdesk and
end-user support. Candidate must have a very strong troubleshooting
ability and a self-reliant nature, and have excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Travel throughout Connecticut will be
necessary on a regular basis. Must be comfortable in a sometimes
very busy environment, supporting a variety of clients,
technologies, and wide range of items from computer installs to
advanced troubleshooting of common desktop issues such as printing,
email, network connectivity, and application issues. Ideal
candidate will Sr. Level tech skills who enjoys working on Jr.
through Sr. level tech issues, always looking to improve their
skills set, and finds joy in working with colleagues and end users
to keep technology running smoothly.
Critical skills:
--- Microsoft Office 2013/2016/2019/365
--- Networking concepts such as IP addresses, subnets, routers,
switches, firewalls, and VPNs
--- Security concepts such as antivirus, EDR/XDR,
Malware/Ransomare, 2FA, encryption
--- Understanding of email services, POP/SMTP, IMAP, MX Records,
Spam Filtering
--- Network troubleshooting commands such as ping, nslookup,
tracert, netstat, and ipconfig Helpful/Not Critical, but eager to
learn the following skills and technologies:
--- Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, and 2016
--- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS and GPO
--- Microsoft Cloud services such as Intune, Exchange, SharePoint,
and OneDrive
--- Backup Technologies such as Datto and Veeam
--- Ticketing and Remote Management software such as Connectwise
Manage and Automate
--- Virtualization and cloud solutions such as Windows Hyper-V,
Azure, and AWS
--- Familiar with PowerShell
--- Phone system/VOIP phone systems
