Job Title: Residential Counselor - Evening Shift
Reports to: Residential Director
Location: Bennington, Vermont
Salary from $17.50hr
VPI is committed to providing individualized comprehensive services
to children and adolescents who often have experienced complex
developmental trauma. Our students, in response to their life
experiences, can present with a constellation of adaptive
mechanisms that have become distressing symptoms. These symptoms
often present as self-harm, substance abuse, depression, anxiety,
aggression, suicidality, as well as disordered eating. We believe
the students who come to us deserve a safe and secure environment
where they can find hope and healing.

Residential Counselor Summary:
Provide supervision and support for youth, including role modeling
appropriate behavior/ interactions, redirection and crisis
Teach and assist youth with life and social skills.
Work as a team to support youth and build healthy
Engage students in activities, including arts and crafts, playing
games, doing outdoor activities and much more.
High school or GED required
OR the equivalent of 1 years of full-time experience working with
OR any combination of credits in human services & experience with
children that totals 1 years
Valid driver's license preferred & 21 + years of age.
Authorized to work in the United States (Required).
Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment
