Job Description:

Summary Position Summary The Credentialing Verification Specialist I is responsible for ensuring that the credentialing of providers is conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and performing activities associated with verification functions, letter tracking, and follow-up on problems which may delay completion of the file. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications: Current certification as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred.
Experience: Knowledge of or experience with credentialing process preferred.
