support the growth. Biomerics Northeast Laser & Electropolish
(BNLE): Metals processing division of Biomerics offers the
following laser processing capabilities: Laser Welding, Laser
Cutting, Laser Drilling, Laser Marking, Laser Ablation,
Electropolishing, and Passivating. Our breadth of laser technology
includes Nd:YAG, fiber, and femtosecond lasers. These laser
technologies, combined with our expert knowledge in laser
processing enable us to develop optimized manufacturing solutions.
We laser process flat stock, metal tubes, plastic tubes,
electrodes, bands, wire assemblies, and cannula assemblies. We also
offer a full line of secondary processes including cleaning,
passivation, heat setting, and electropolishing. Job Description:
As Plant Controller you are responsible for providing all aspects
of financial management to all three BNLE business units located in
Monroe, CT; Brooklyn Park, MN; Santa Clara, CA. This role will be
based in Monroe, CT and travel between the three plants. The Plant
Controller will report directly to the Director of Operations
Finance with dotted line reporting to the location Presidents. This
is an extremely influential position with the ability to
significantly impact the performance of the company. Up to 50%
travel will be required between the three business units (will go
down to 25%). In this role, you will: Work extensively with
talented engineers to support the development of innovative,
industry-changing medical products Work extensively with the
manufacturing teams to support world-class operations Develop close
relationships with peers in our other manufacturing locations
Provide financial management for multiple subsidiaries Support the
creation and execution of the company strategy Roles and
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cost Accounting:
Identification of cost drivers (cost reductions) Develop and
maintain standard costing Collect, analyze, and report on cost
information to support business decisions Prepare the business unit
for our annual financial audit: Transition to full compliance with
GAAP Establish internal control policies Fixed asset maintenance
and audits Balance sheet control and improvements Analyze capital
budget requests Ownership of financial statements Cash management
Prepare Budgets and Forecasting Track and understand variations in
inventory levels Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and
systems that support data accuracy Develop and prepare operational
reporting to improve decision making Support for potential
acquisitions and other transactions: Due diligence work Deal
structure review Integration planning Ad hoc support for the
corporate office Requirements: Minimum 4-year degree in Accounting
or Finance is required Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting
experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably medical
device manufacturing, metals, or laser industry experience) is
required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (pivot tables and
VLOOKUPs), Outlook, and ERP skills are required Proficiency in
NetSuite is a plus Working knowledge of inventory valuation
methods, the inventory process, bill of materials, routers,
utilization planning, labor reporting, burden absorption concepts,
and methods, and shop floor control process Strong leadership
skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly
