This position primarily involves receipt, warehousing, fulfillment,
inventory, delivery, and management of all products stored in the
Vermont Foodbank Barre Distribution Center.

Pay for this position would be expected at $17 an hour.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Works cooperatively and be able to communicate with staff and
volunteers to support the mission of the Foodbank to meet and
sustain Foodbank goals.
Positively contribute to an organizational culture of safe and
secure food handling, warehousing and distribution.
The Foodbank relies on volunteers every day to fulfill our
Promote a culture of food safety and adhere to all established food
safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a neat personal appearance, professionalism in all
interactions with other staff, the public, and the clients the
Assist in production of raw salvage sorting and CSFP building
Load and unload trucks using forklift and/or motorized pallet jack
(or any other materials handling device available.
Accurately select and stage agency orders per delivery route order
Maintains organized, safe and clean work environment by keeping
warehouse storage zones, receipt and staging areas neat and
organized in compliance with Foodbank Standard Operating Procedures
and related external requirements (AIB, etc.).
Efficiently and safely pick up and deliver products as assigned and
complete proper paper work to maintain accurate inventory by
driving Foodbank provided transportation.
Adhere to policies and procedures in the fleet safety booklet
regarding reporting accidents, daily vehicle checks, completing
associated paperwork, and substance abuse.
Maintain accurate inventory control procedures.
Take part during physical inventory.
This position will occasionally be required to travel to other
Foodbank locations and to attend required meetings, trainings, etc.
Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
In instances of a federal, state or locally declared emergency,
Vermont Foodbank is typically considered an essential service and
emergency responder; all of its employees may be called in to
perform regular or emergent duties.
