Job Description:

Act as the liaison between PMS450C and Electric Boat for all tasking related to the VCS Construction Lead Yard Support contract (LYS). Position will interface regularly with EB program office, engineering, and logistics points of contact to ensure the efficient and complete execution of all tasking.This position requires knowledge/experience in the following areas:Basic understanding of contracts, 4 year technical degree, familiarity with the construction, maintenance, OR operation of nuclear submarinesMust be very organized and possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.Must be able to work independently with direction and oversight received from a geographically separated supervisor.Intermediate understanding of shipbuilding and support contracts, DAWIA or other recognized certification in program management or engineering, submarine construction experience.Specific responsibilities may include but not limited to:Evaluate EB/NNS performance and provide PMS450 with assessments and recommendations covering such areas as:Maintain awareness of the material plan to ensure funding provided to support supplier effortsMonitor tasking under and over runs and manage cost at the CLIN levelManage informal exchanges with PMS 450A group: redlines, reprices, LYS bi-weekly actions, quad chartsProvide early identification of tasks to close within the FY and any roadblocks to completion (funding, approvals, priority, etc)Participate in quarterly LYS reviews and biweekly task reviews.Interface between NAVSEA and EB engineers, logisticians, and program office personnel to develop COAs to resolve barriers to successful task completion.Requirements:Demonstrated understanding of military operational requirements, cost analysis and control, strategic planning, procurement strategies to include Government acquisition processes, financial management and business process improvement.Strong organizational skills, communication/presentation skills, technical writing skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to present material to DoD and non-DoD officials.Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.BS Degree in Engineering, computer science, mathematics or related majors.US Citizen with Secret Security ClearanceORBIS offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary in a professional atmosphere.PDN-9727f092-bf14-4c85-870d-e4d636c6cd2b
