Adecco Staffing is working with a local manufacturing company in Belmont, NH who is looking to hire a Lead Automation Electrical Engineering Technician! This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity! Job Title:

  • 1st Shift- Monday through Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm Pay:
  • $28.00 to $33.00 per hour based on prior experience Sign-on Bonus:
  • $1000 sign on bonus after 60 days (eligibility based on job performance and attendance) Job Summary: The Lead Automation Electrical Engineering Technician is a senior technical role working with engineers to design automation equipment, making SolidWorks drawings, procuring parts, and leading the assembly team effort. Working with our engineers and other technicians as the leader of our design & build team to help us convert engineering designs into custom automation equipment. Set-up of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with a laptop, Ladder Logic (LD) PLC software programming, Servo tuning, HMI set-up and testing. Technical leadership of our team of technicians to assemble, wire, plumb, test run, troubleshoot, and repair custom designed automation equipment. The automation equipment we design incorporates high tech systems such as robots, lasers, dial indexers, pick and place mechanisms, servo drives, automatic feeders, proxy sensors, automatic packaging, induction heating, machining, sawing, welding, forming, pressing, and most anything we can dream up. Servicing automation equipment at our location and at other Hubbell locations. Roles & Responsibilities: The Lead Automation Electrical Engineering Technician will need to work professionally with our engineers and technicians to help design, build, troubleshoot, install and service components of custom automation machines and equipment for our group. This role will require working with engineers to understand design goals & specifications, and to come up with engineering solutions to difficult problems - as part of our design & build team, working with technicians, customers, specifications, drawings and other information to create custom automated machines. Organization of all parts and materials, and technician functions within the team. Responsible to lead machine assembly & integration effort, to test operation of all subsystems, and debug all systems to meet machine requirements for product quality and through-put rate.
  • Create and edit 3D Cad models and mechanical & electrical drawings for components of custom automation equipment using SolidWorks.
  • Design portions of the mechanical system for custom automation equipment using SolidWorks.
  • Troubleshoot and service all automation systems, drives, sensors, and software controls to efficiently resolve issues.
  • Read and follow detailed mechanical and electrical prints.
  • Lead team of technicians to assemble, wire and plumb custom automation equipment.
  • Build-up Machine Electrical Controls Panel (with power supplies, PLCs, relays, VFDs, breakers, motor controllers, vision system controllers, robot controllers, safety controllers etc.) per prints.
  • Set-up and test all control system interfaces with machine sensors, drives, actuators and other system components and subsystems.
  • Service and troubleshoot automation systems and equipment on our floor and at the end-user's location. Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates Degree in engineering/technology would also be a plus.
  • Experience: 6-8 years' experience in a mechanic / manufacturing / machinist environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on skills you might learn from working on cars, farms, homes, etc. is a strong bonus.
  • CAD software: Previous SolidWorks experience required.
  • Some level of proficiency programming VFDs, tuning servo drives, and programming PLC's with ladder diagrams (LD).
  • Mathematical Skill: Ability to work with basic high school math concepts. Able to measure parts accurately with machinist tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.   • Ability to be in a cramped or confined space occasionally.
  • Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
  • Must be able to read and follow detail drawings and assembly procedures. Preferred Skills:
