DESCRIPTION:The Strategic Planning Consultant is a high-level
independent thinker who leads business planning efforts for major
capital projects across the network, and develops the project's
business plan document. Using sophisticated intelligence and
analytic tools, this individual draws on their analytical skills
and experience to produce demand forecasts for a variety of
healthcare services in our region, as well as pro forma financial
modeling of project impacts.The consultant contributes to capital
and master facility planning and monitors progress on the strategic
plan. This role, working with senior clinical and administrative
leadership, facilities, IT, finance and others, coordinates
business planning for key initiatives ranging from IT applications
and equipment purchases to large facility projects that may require
certificate of need applications.In addition to leveraging
his/her/their broad experience in analytics, this individual
utilizes strong verbal and written communication skills, project
management, problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking.The
consultant's contributions shape the future of the UVM Health
Network and the Vermont and Northern New York system of
care.Education:Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree
preferred, in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Business
Administration or related field Experience: Five years of
progressive, successful experience in complex health care analyses,
strategic planning, business planning, facilities and/or
operational planning including sophisticated financial modeling;
budgeting and forecasting.
