Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Transportation Director to join their team.As Transportation Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of transportation administrative operations, including fleet leases and maintenance, driver safety training and safety program, vendor payments, transportation compliance and contract management.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing transportation operationsCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities with warehouse and distribution operationsDevelop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goodsMonitor and analyze transportation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvementOversee fleet maintenance contracts and leasesManage safety programs and complianceDevelop presentations to share with all levels of the organizationQualifications:10+ years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in distribution operations or 3PL.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in transportation management software and other relevant technologies--
