DescriptionESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:--Responsible for transporting temporary VISA workers using company-issued vehicles to and from their residence and the Cabot facility for their scheduled shifts.Safely operates company vehicles, abiding by Vermont roadway laws to include obeying speed and traffic signs.Ensure passengers are comfortable and safety requirements are always adhered to while inside the vehicle, to include ensuring all passengers are buckled according to Vermont roadway laws.Demonstrates reliability with arriving to the designated site locations for pick-up and drop-off of passengers on time, planning for adverse travel conditions that may impact travel commute time.Communicates in advance of any variances to schedule availability to ensure proper coverage is available for scheduled transportation of workers.Ensures all required documents are up to date and in the vehicle for inspection for any required stops and/or services to include registration, inspection and insurance card.Responsible for ensuring company vehicles being used are parked for the next driver with adequate gas tank levels, not leaving the vehicle at less than of a tank for the following driver. Responsible for filling vehicle with gas and submitting receipts for reimbursement.Promptly communicates any concerns with the vehicles' operation to management so that vehicles can be serviced timely, are safe for transport of individuals, and equipment failures and service is scheduled to be performed as necessary. If the vehicle is deemed unsafe for the roadway due to safety concerns, driver must communicate the need for repair and removal from the company fleet until repairs are completed.Ensures vehicles are cleared of any snow, ice, or potential hazards before operation of the vehicle and transporting of passengers.May be asked to assist with last minute request to transport temporary VISA workers to medical appointments (ie. Urgent Care/ER for illness, Physical Therapy at Concentra for WC injury treatment) as deemed necessary.Assists with transportation as needed on the temporary VISA workers' scheduled day off for large group needs from their residence to Wal-Mart for their weekly grocery and supply needs. This typically includes availability to wait for a minimum of 2 hours to return the workers to their residence.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:----Must possess a valid Driver's license. A MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check will be performed at the time of hire and annually to ensure there are no driving infractions. Any infractions will disqualify the individual from the position, and any new driving infractions resulting in a ticket or points must be reported immediately following the incident at the time received.Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company issued vehicle.Transportation of temporary VISA workers is not allowed in a personal vehicle at any time.Must possess a cell phone to be accessible to be reached for changes to schedules, updates on road conditions, travel delays, and communication of any vehicle issues that may arise.RELATIVE EXPERIENCE:----Must have demonstrated a safe and clear driving record. Must possess a valid Driver's License, and always maintained on the person.Experience driving in variable weather conditions, such as snow, ice, freezing rain, fog and rural road conditions required.--
