Description

Quantic Ticer (A Quantic Company) manufactures high-performance, thin-film embedded resistor copper foil for digital and RF printed circuit boards.

Quantic Ticer currently has an opening for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing facility in Windsor, CT. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable working in a small group. We are looking for someone that can wear many hats, a dependable team player, and someone that will make safety their top priority. The position is to support preventive maintenance, set-up, and operation of our vacuum deposition system along with troubleshooting issues. The position also encompasses low voltage electrical repairs, welding, machining, and shipping and receiving duties.

Job Responsibilities:

--- Prepare and carry out maintenance activities on vacuum chamber and pumps used in deposition processes.

--- Utilize an overhead crane to perform target changes.

--- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and perform regular preventative maintenance of equipment during machine service.

--- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make required adjustments.

--- Utilize milling machine, lathe, and welder to fabricate parts for use in our deposition system.

--- Ensure the proper selection, care and use of tools, parts and equipment while performing all job-related duties.

--- Performs standard mechanical duties in installation and repair of plant equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic,

--- and mechanical malfunctions.

--- Coordinate repair activities with sub-contractors when appropriate

--- Submit repair reports from sub-contractors, including replaced parts and maintenance costs.

--- Proactively inspect building facilities to identify maintenance needs.

--- Assist with the preparation of facility and maintenance and budgets.

--- Assist with the IQ, OQ, and PQ of new equipment.

--- Utilize a fork truck to load and unload shipments and receipts.

--- Willing to cross-train as a sputter operator and run the machine on occasion.

--- Ensure that the Company's safety standards are maintained during the course of performing duties.

--- Responsible for maintaining a clean and hazard free workplace.

--- Perform janitorial tasks such as changing light bulbs, mopping, cleaning restroom, emptying trash, etc.

--- Perform general administration tasks as necessary.

Requirements

--- 5+ years of experience as industrial maintenance technician

--- Two (2) year technical degree or certificate in industrial maintenance and/or equivalent work

--- Some knowledge of specialty fields, such as hydraulics, PLC logic, plumbing, general contracting, HVAC/refrigeration, preferred.

--- Working knowledge of welding and machining techniques

--- Ability to use all hand tools and power tools common to the job title.

--- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.

--- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

--- Ability to operate a fork truck.

--- Ability to operate an overhead crane.

--- Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots)

--- Ability to stand, squat, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
