Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring a QUA Tech in Stafford Springs, CT with a well-known industry leader.

In this role you will work with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.

This is a first shift position.

As a QUA Tech you will:
Performs complex tests, tasks, and/or experiments.
Utilizes standard or nonstandard procedures required for product development, process scale-up, or production processes.
Ensures quality standards are met and maintained. Adapts existing testing approaches. The employee performs work under general supervision
Performs calibration of test equipment and standardization procedures prior to its use.
Operates experimental, prototype or production test equipment.
Provides suggestions for most efficient equipment utilization, equipment modifications, or new equipment as required.
Documents test results, maintains records, and prepares summary reports that may be used by other departments.
Communicates results to appropriate staff. Sets priorities within the framework of requests or production needs.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:
ASQ Certification as a Quality Technician or equivalent preferred but not required.
Knowledge of standard Laboratory practices and protocols related to quality and safety.
Possess expertise equivalent to that is obtained in an associate degree or higher
Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving / analysis skills to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
Experience in quality control procedures and testing.
Experience with computer reporting of quality data entry.
Strong verbal communication in a team setting
In addition, basic computer literacy and competency required for data entry, analysis, and retrieval.

Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred in a technical discipline from an accredited institution - Minimum 3 years of general laboratory experience in a private, public, government or military environment (chemistry, biology, pharmacy, etc.
High school/G.E.D. level of education or equivalent can be considered provided training includes commensurate understanding of quality procedures, techniques, statistical sampling, products, and equipment.


Pay Rate: $23.35 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
