Job Description Medical Laboratory Scientist | Traveler Presque
Isle, ME 04769 Pride Health is hiring an experienced Medical
Laboratory Scientist for a travel assignment in Presque Isle,
Maine. Responsibilities Follow established procedures for specimen
handling and processing, testing, reporting, and record maintenance
Perform high complexity testing using approved procedures and
release results Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
Document QC activities, calibrations, maintenance, and corrective
actions Troubleshoot issues that affect test performance and
escalate as needed Report STAT and critical values per department
procedure Maintain accurate testing records and department
readiness Participate in training, meetings, and inspections as
needed Qualifications BS in Medical Technology preferred, or BS or
BA in Chemistry or Biology, or an Associate degree in Laboratory
Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified under 42 CFR
493.1433 National certification MT or MLT through ASCP or AMT
preferred or eligible Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory
experience with high complexity testing preferred Required Skills
Strong understanding of QC and QA across all lab areas Computer
proficiency and ability to work across multiple systems Ability to
manage priorities and interact with internal teams and clients
while protecting patient confidentiality If you are interested,
