Job Description Company – Our esteemed client is a globally
recognized leader in life sciences and diagnostic testing services,
supporting healthcare providers, hospitals, and research
organizations with advanced laboratory solutions that help improve
patient outcomes and accelerate medical innovation. Job Title –
Histotechnologist / Histotechnician Location – Shelton, CT (Start
time around 3 PM (Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday). Role Type –
Direct Hire Must Have Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Histology OR
Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science with at least
1 year of relevant experience OR completion of a Histology program
(minimum 9 months) Familiarity with routine histology procedures
and laboratory equipment Ability to accurately embed, section, and
stain tissue specimens Strong attention to detail and
organizational skills Ability to pass a standardized color vision
screening Responsibilities and Job Details: Perform technical
duties required for the production of histopathological slides from
surgical specimens Process tissue samples including embedding,
microtomy/sectioning, and staining procedures Perform
immunohistochemistry techniques following laboratory protocols
Operate and maintain histology laboratory instruments and equipment
Ensure proper specimen handling and preparation according to
laboratory standards Perform and document routine quality control
procedures Maintain accurate records and documentation of
laboratory processes and results Follow all laboratory safety
guidelines and regulatory compliance standards Collaborate with
laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate test results Assist
in troubleshooting equipment or procedural issues when necessary
Support workflow efficiency to meet turnaround time expectations in
a high-volume laboratory environment
