Federal Credit Union is looking for a Deposit Operations Specialist
I to join our collaborative, member-focused operations team. This
role plays a key part in ensuring our deposit systems and member
accounts run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. About the Role:
The Deposit Operations Specialist I provides support for essential
deposit operational functions across the credit union. You’ll
partner with branches, the contact center, and other departments to
deliver solutions, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate
member records. Support may be delivered via phone, email, and
digital platforms—all while upholding Atlantic FCU’s high standards
for service, professionalism, and integrity. Key Responsibilities:
Back Office Support Review daily check reports; issue or mail
checks as needed. Process returned notices, tracking items with
accuracy and timeliness. Assess and make decisions on basic Power
of Attorney (POA) requests. Resolve exceptions on Maturity
Disbursement reports. Review and process stop payment requests for
corporate checks and money orders. Complete recasts for deposit
accounts (employee errors, member errors, Kasasa rewards). Perform
account file maintenance, including contact updates, account
conversions, overdraft requests, and remote access setup. Review
closed account documentation and create exceptions when needed.
Retail Support Maintain strong product knowledge to support member
and branch inquiries. Assist with transactions, balance inquiries,
stop payments, and account-related troubleshooting. Provide
guidance on operational procedures and deposit functions. Support
troubleshooting for online banking for both members and internal
teams. Elevate complex troubleshooting issues appropriately.
Research & Troubleshooting Conduct account research, verifications,
and exception clearing (AVS/SSI). Provide support via phone, mail,
email, or other communication channels. Assist staff by educating
them on operational processes for ongoing knowledge development.
Quality Control & Imaging Process exception check holds and review
preference records. Update account and online banking contact
information to ensure accuracy. Review name change reports,
certificate QC reports, and dual-stamp requirements. Image
documents related to deceased member reviews. Maintain accuracy and
timely entry into imaging systems. What Success Looks Like You

Requirements 1–3 years of related experience in financial services,
banking, or deposit operations preferred. High school diploma or
GED required. Strong relationship-building skills with internal and
external stakeholders. Excellent verbal, written, and digital
communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information
with tact, discretion, and professionalism. Comfortable with
conflict resolution in a first-level support environment.
